Artwork not adjusted to account for faces and trim cap. Particularly a problem on very small lettersets
Start/Stop point not at the top
Faces or backs accidentally stretched
during nesting and do not fit
Penetrations in the way of the return flange
Penetrations outside of raceway or hitting the ribs of an extruded raceway
Different face colors nested
together accidentally
Elements nested too close together causing overlap of toolpath or too far apart causing wasted material
Too many or too few mounting penetrations. The wrong size penetration hole for flush mount or raceway
Letter kerning not adjusted on the pattern
to account for trim cap
FCO letters not mirrored for routing
Acrylic not fitting inside the aluminum, particularly at the points and corners
Machines sitting idle while waiting on fabrication files from design department
Return bend machines have limitations and it can be hard to understand. I understand proper file setups for Accubend, SDS, and CLN machines.
Fabrication and install problems can be caught or created at the design desk. With 14 years of experience I take great pride in doing all the small things to help assure downstream efficiency.
Fabrication file setups are also very different from creative sales rendering designs. It can be hard to train a creative designer about the nuances for fabrication files. If you would like help with your fabrication files please give me a chance.
